I have always been a fan of musicals. As a kid, I tried to audition at a local kids theatre group and I had a blast. One of my favorite musical would be the Sweeney Todd. I sang a few of the songs back during high school and suggested that we do the presentation. My teachers then didnt really approve of it since it was a bit negative, as my principal would put it. Well, yeah, she was right. But the thing is, no matter how we deny the presence of evil, its always going to be there. I just kept my mouth shut or run the risk of being expelled. A few years after that, the movie of the musical was about to come out and I was joyous when they said that helena bonham carter was going to play Mrs. Lovett. Oh shes a joy. I loved Angela Lansburys presentation as well, but hey, this is Bonham carter for crying out loud. I loved the lady back in her old movies then and her ending up with Tim burton is just a joy. Those guys were just made for one another.
